While organizing photos for possible use in my work, I realize that most are no more than memory cues. Few are of sufficient quality to incorporate in videos. Thousands are trashworthy. Delete!
The best of the landscape photos remind me of films; for example, Michelangelo Antonioni’s L’Avventura (1960), Zabriskie Point (1970), and The Passenger (1975), and Ingmar Berman’s The Seventh Seal (1958), among so many others. In these, landscapes are intrinsic to the storytelling.
