I view museum exhibits and window displays as forms of stagecraft that use objects, lighting, spatial relations, and sometimes alphabetic texts to suggest a story.

In browsing online sources to illustrate this point, I encountered an unexpected treasure trove of public domain images available to download and use at no charge from the Metropolitan Museum of Art website. Click on Open Access Artwork to search the images.

There may be other museums that offer high quality copyright free images in addition to education and inspiration.
